Chris English is the UK&I National Operations Director for McDonald’s Restaurants Limited.
Chris is responsible for the operational systems and procedures across all 1450+ restaurants. This includes managing the business change for restaurants, developing and delivering new initiatives at pace and leading the key business areas of Restaurant Solutions, Safety, Security, Licensing and Restaurant Solutions. The last 18 months have seen Chris lead the closure and reopening of the UK&I estate as part of his role on the Crisis Steering group.
Chris also spent 5 years as a Director of Franchising for McDonald’s, and is a skilled franchisee leader, working collaboratively with the 190+ franchisees across the business. Chris also spent 3 years working on the London 2012 Olympics, leading the sponsorship of the Gamesmaker programme for McDonald’s, working with LOCOG (London Organising Committee) to attract, hire, train and retain the 70,000 volunteers required for the Olympic Games. This involved working on the training materials and hosting and supporting the training of the volunteers at the McDonald’s Hamburger University in East Finchley.
Chris is a highly skilled franchising and operational expert who puts the customer first so as to deliver an outstanding customer experience. He takes a keen interest in the latest trends and new technology that may help McDonald’s deliver an enhanced customer experience.
