Boxpark Shoreditch opened in 2011 as the world's first pop-up mall. The concept utilised the modern street food market and placed local and global brands side by side, to create a unique shopping and dining destination. Entirely constructed out of refitted shipping containers, Boxpark showcases a unique position in being able to offer affordable and flexible leases for lifestyle brands, cafes, restaurants and galleries to trade and succeed.
In October 2016 the second Boxpark site was launched, south of the river, in Croydon. Version 2 has focussed entirely on the drinks and dining aspect that has made Boxpark so hospitable, as well as delivering some of the biggest events the city has ever seen; including a show-stopping launch event with Eskimo Dance and exclusive performance from Stormzy.
Boxpark Wembley is the third iteration of Roger Wade's modern street food, events and leisure concept. Boxpark Wembley kicked things off with a Rinse FM takeover, with live sets from a line-up of world-renowned artists and DJs including The Heatwave, Heartless Crew, Redlight, Unknown T and WSTRN and more! All profits from the night were donated to partner charity OnSide Youth Zones, whose vision is to give all young people somewhere safe and inspiring to go in their leisure time.
Not only is Boxpark Wembley packed with incredible places to eat and drink, the main space also acts as a 2000 capacity events space to host everything from concerts to markets, bingo to sports screenings. Upstairs you'll find Playbox which is home to shuffleboard, table tennis, pool and table football. If you're looking for somewhere a bit more intimate to dance the night away, the 300 capacity club room, Beatbox, hosts a range of events from Hits & Giggles to Hip-Hop Karaoke!
Boxpark continues to be innovative in its approach to dining and retail and remains dedicated to working with aspiring and established talent from across the country to deliver unforgettable events. Boxpark is a retail revolution that has spawned many imitators but no equals.
